Jennifer Carman
CMCA, AMS, PCAM, Realtor®
President
Mrs. Carman, is the President and owner of Legacy Community Services. She has been involved in the management of community associations since 1994, successfully managing homeowner, condominium, commercial and co-op (co-operative) associations. She started her career as an on-site manager for a large HOA in Sterling VA and has also worked with developers with transitioning many communities from developer to homeowner control, and maintaining the client relationship for many years thereafter. Mrs. Carman holds her CMCA (Certified Manager of Community Associations) designation through CAMICB (Community Association Managers International Certification Board), her AMS (Association Management Specialist) and PCAM (Professional Community Association Manager) designations through the Community Associations Institute and is a licensed Realtor® with the Virginia Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation. As a current manager of communities throughout the area with combined assets and budgets of over $5 million, Mrs. Carman has experience in all areas of property and financial management. In addition to her knowledge of management and association legal matters, Mrs. Carman specializes in community operations, association budgeting, facilities management and building community with the associations she has the privilege to serve.
Claudia Callahan
Vice President
Mrs. Callahan is the Vice President and owner of Legacy Community Services. Ms. Callahan received an M.B.A. from the University del Valle de Mexico. She has experience in banking, finance, lending, retail management and property management. She started her management career at the retail management level where she used proven customer service practices and management skills to increase sales for multiple major retail chains. Mrs. Callahan took her experience and moved into management positions in the banking industry where she managed multiple bank branches, built key personal and commercial customer relationships. She developed a well verse skill set that includes finance, lending, risk management, leadership, human and operational management. Mrs. Callahan has owned several successful businesses, both international and domestic. Mrs. Callahan pursued the property management field using all her experiences to become a portfolio manager. She managed over 30+ different homeowners and condominium associations throughout the Northern Virginia market. Mrs. Callahan’s focus on compliance and risk management coupled with her versatile communication, collaboration, and planning skills, make her a sound decision maker in a fast-paced environment. Furthermore, Claudia is fully bilingual in English and Spanish, adding valuable language capabilities to her skill set.
